Welcome!

The Companion Dog Project is building a modern registry for companion dogs—one designed around health, temperament, and real-world function rather than competition, aesthetics, or volume.

Breeder membership is a signal of alignment with a companion-first breeding philosophy and a commitment to accountability. Members participate in a registry designed to document dogs, litters, and outcomes over time, creating a clearer distinction between intentional breeding and commercial production.
This is not a passive directory. It is infrastructure.
What breeders gain

Breeder members receive:
-
Access to the Companion Dog Registry
-
The ability to register dogs and litters within a structured system
-
Inclusion in the foundational cohort shaping registry standards
-
Eligibility for future public listing and verification as programs come online

The Companion Dog Project is intended for breeders who:
-
Breed at a deliberate, small to moderate scale
-
Prioritize temperament, health, and suitability for pet homes
-
Are willing to operate within defined standards
-
See transparency as a strength, not a liability

Most companion dogs are bred outside traditional breed club structures, yet there has been no credible registry built to serve them. The Companion Dog Project exists to fill that gap—by creating a system that reflects how companion dogs are actually bred and lived with.
