The Companion Dog Project (CDP) runs an innovative registry (Companion Dog Registry (CDR) and community for breeders and dog lovers who put health, temperament, and welfare ahead of breed purity or traditional breed standards. Our members raise thoughtfully bred dogs including many common mixes and some completely new ones. We focus on producing excellent family companions, not dogs that look a certain way.
 
Looking for a puppy? CDP breeders follow welfare-focused breeding standards and share puppy availability through our platform. When you find a puppy through CDP, you know the breeder behind them is committed to raising healthy, well-socialized dogs.
